  1. I have been a professional drummer and researcher for over 35 years, and, have taught drumming classes at Connecticut College since 1994. This has given me a solid base of experience in drumming and teaching groups.
  2. My method and equipment have been refined through teaching college classes. I will not use a hodgepodge of unrelated types of drums. I have 20 proper full-size congas tuned to distinct different pitches so the rhythmic components are clear.
  3. I have a relaxed approach which may be a welcome change from the norm for some people.
  4. Each participant gets the use of a real drum during the entire session. No one will sit out waiting for their turn, nor will they just clap their hands or play only cowbells and shakers.
  5. Real rhythms will be learned; it will not be just a messy drum circle. Participants will stay engaged and focused.
  6. I can accommodate 20 drummers per session (one hour sessions). Several sessions are possible and may be booked over several days. Discounted pricing is available for concurrent sessions.
